Oh, one small thing that I just realized on my flight back home from India to California:
Last Monday, June 6th, was the five year anniversary of my first post on this website, littleyellowdifferent.com. I had good intentions on writing some deep introspective, and I still plan on doing that one way or another. Just not right now, with the jet lag and stuff.
In the meantime – yay, me! Now someone tell me what I should do with this massive text file of every uncensored blog post I’ve written over the past five years, just sitting on my desktop collecting virtual dust.
congrats man!
print the posts out and make some badass lampshades, perhaps.
Make a random post generator that is seeded with the post archives.
I dunno, do what I do: dump it all in a Word document, check the word/page count and gasp at how many full-length novels you could have written instead.
I hit five years over Memorial Day weekend. Me, I ain’t mad at blogging.
Oh, the textfile? Self-publish it on LuLu.
i second that self-publish thing.
in fact, why not edit it (or have someone else edit it) and see if someone will publish it for you.
How about writing a book already?
Or!
Pick the best ones and do a reading at a coffee shop.
Book. Book! Boooooook. (Gaddamn, I sound like a chicken). In anycase: Publish, already!
a coffeetable book soudnds like a novel idea. Include photos pulled from your Flickr photostream.
Make wallpaper!
Or maybe have an aggregator on your blog, or a widget that shows the ernie post of the day.
maybe a “This day in History:” with today’s blog entry and one from the same day a year ago.
Yeah. book Sorry. Can’t think of anything more original. But a good editor really could turn it into a novel. So, find a good editor and turn it into a kind of novel.
Then get a movie made from the novel, and then get action figures from the movie, so we can get an Ernie(c) doll with PowerBlogging fist action(c).
Congrats on a great 5 years!
I agree with the book idea. I’m sure that there’s a great start for a book somewhere in there

DUDE!… you were in India? Dang… there used to be a time when I would have probably noticed you had gone to India… you know… before you got back.
Congrats on 5 years, hope to read another 5 more. I would put the first 5 years onto a mp3 cd/dvd (depending on size) and pdf and put it up on Amazon or your site. Someones bound to buy it and give you a free meal.
