So the downside of not blogging for a couple of months and having a really depressing, intensely personal post is that everyone’s impression of you is that you’re ready to stab yourself in the face at any given moment.
Which isn’t necessarily true – life is great, thanks for asking!
I think this blog — at this domain here anyway — has run its course. That’s not to say I’m not available on Twitter, Tumblr (hint), Flickr or a myriad of other social medium that end in the letter R; you’ll probably find more about my wacky adventures there, if you haven’t done so already. But until then, this weblog will remain in stasis for now.
I’ll miss reading LYD, but I’m happy to know you’ll still be on all those other sites so I can still get my Internet Ernie fix.
Old weblogs FOREVER!!!!
Finally figured out what ErnieLYD stands for.
On LinkedInR ?
I’ve been following you at tumblr for quite a while, and had noticed you were gradually posting more stuff there and not just the occasional links as you used to.
Just wanted to say I originally started blogging in 2003 thanks to LYD. If only for that, thank you Ernie!
Standing Ovation!
I shall miss the fun Chinese-English translations of your parents.
It was a great blog, one of a handful I followed through the years.
Ok, jokes over. tell us something funny.
I remember first reading LYD in summer 2001. Great work all these years. I’ll try to find you on Tumblr
Another LYD reader from summer ‘01. I’ve appreciated your honesty and willingness to put yourself out there. Depressing? Nope. Just a jolt of real life. Thanks for sharing all these years.
Ernie, thanks for a fantastic 10 years. I hope everything you do turns out fabulous. Go for it mate.
dammit! i’m sad. i’ve been reading since 2001.
whoops submitted that too early. anyway, need to find you on twitter/tumblr now!
