like boys and girls

Jen (AKA “a close friend from college,” AKA “the roommates girlfriend”) had her graduation party last Friday.

(The scene: Ernie is pouring himself a cup of juice with a clean plastic cup.)
Paris: Hey buddy, can you a pour me a cup as well?
Ernie: Sure. Here, have my cup, I’ll just use yours.
Paris: OK. Just so you know, there’s Coke at the bottom of this cup. I don’t know how you feel about mixing different things.
Ernie: *pause, then smirks* Yeah. It’s totally disgusting when two different types of things mix together. (Ernie stares at Jen, who is Filipino, then Paris, who is white.)
Crowd: Oooooh.
Kieu: *pause* … you mean, like boys and girls, Ernie?
(Crowd goes into hysterics while Ernie curls up into a fetal position and dies)

Aaah college, the best four years of your life. (Or in my case, five. Or in Jen’s case, seven.)
