My Morning, and Bay Area Tech Life, In A Nutshell

Me: Can you help me out? The web application gives me this weird XML parser error when I run it locally on my laptop, but it works fine on the network.
Tech Lead #1: Sure. Here, let me try.
(Tech lead spends all day yesterday installing and reinstalling components, looking at debugger programs, etc. He runs the program and the error message comes up.)
TL #1: <Korean>Holy fucking shit, what did you DO to your laptop?</Korean>
Me: Wha?
TL #1: Uhmm… perhaps you should talk to Tech Lead #2.

Me: Can you help me out? The web application gives me this weird XML parser error when I run it locally on my laptop, but it works fine on the network.
TL #2: Did you try re-installing the web server on your laptop?
Me: Oh yeah. Same problem.
TL #2: Okay, let me take a look at your setup. *checks laptop* <Hindi>Sweet Mary, mother of Jesus.</Hindi>
Me: That’s not a good thing, is it?
TL #2: Eh, not really.
