What happened at work today

Senior Tech Architect: Ernie, I need your help making things pretty or something.
Ernie: Designing User Interfaces and Information Architecture development is much more about making things pretty. Let me draw you a diagram on why this is so Sure. What do you need help with?
STA: I need some 15×15 icons done.
Ernie: Easy enough. What do you need? An e-mail icon? A picture of a folder? Something else?
STA: Services.
Ernie: Service what?
STA: No, a 15×15 pixel icon to describe the idea of “Services.” Also, I need a way to visualize the concepts of Operations, Versioning, and Input, Output and Fault states.
Ernie: … Uhm. Uh. Okay. Let me see what I can come up with.

My Imaginary Response

STA: Uh, Ernie?
Ernie: Yessir?
STA: I just got your e-mail attachment. Why did you send me a zip file full of animated bunny, squirrel and giraffe pictures?
Ernie: Abstract concepts. Artist’s conception. Did you see the animated heart that mouths the words “I love you?”
STA: I hope someone throws you out of a window.
Ernie: Happy Friday.
