And not to be a big haterator in this dancerie, but the webpage for last night’s said event could really use… uhm… some work. Warning: Not pornographic, but not work-safe, either. Not like you’d really get turned on by soft-core thumbnail images in the improper aspect ratio, anyway.†
For those of you that are unable (or unwilling) to view the webpage, here’s what you’re missing out on:
- Soft-core thumbnail images in the improper aspect ratio
- The oh-so-clever DHTML usage of words, following the trail of your mouse when you move it around. Ooooh! It’s like a light show with glowsticks, only nerdier!
- Usage of a graphical horizontal bar, to replace the HR tag in HTML. And of course, the bar is the colors of the rainbow. Because you couldn’t tell it was a gay website, given the fact that there are gay soft-core thumbnail images and the fact that the club is named CLUB STONEWALL.
- It’s on Geocities. The End.
Now, before I start getting death threats from the club promoters, don’t think of this as me being critical, think of this as… uhmm… HTML Intervention. Yeah. Hey, I’ll even offer to re-do their website, pro-bono. Maybe.
