A weblog by Ernie Hsiung

The site is only 85% completed, there are a million visual bugs and half the site hasn’t even been created yet, but PuppetMaster 2 is online. Think of it as a work in progress or something.

The synopsis, for those that have forgotten:

PuppetMaster 2 is a group weblog, a place where twelve various people write about their personal lives, each other, and the world around them.
It’s also a game.

One of the twelve contestants IS NOT REAL. He or she is a fictional persona developed by one of the other eleven contestants. This fictional character is called the PUPPET, and the person pulling the Puppet’s strings is, you guessed it, THE PUPPETMASTER.

The remaining contestants must guess the identities of the Puppet and the PuppetMaster every three days, via an e-mail multiple choice quiz. The person that scores the lowest gets eliminated from the game.

This repeats until there are four players left: two contestants, the Puppet and the PuppetMaster. A final quiz is administered, and the player who can identify the Puppet and PuppetMaster wins $100 (or more!)

This is the first webgame where I’ve employed the help of a graphic designer, Jedrek! He is from Poland! (Polish people use the letters z and j a lot.)

Okay, I think it’s time to create another webgame again. I am now accepting applications for PuppetMaster 2. Applications close March 1st.

For those of you not familiar with the original PuppetMaster game, why don’t I let Entertainment Weekly magazine explain it for you?

Twelve disaffected young people write blogs, like disaffected young people do all over the Net. Except that one of them is a fake disaffected young person! The others try to root out the poser for a minimum of $75 in prize money. B-

Okay, so it was only a B-, but who cares? Apply today! (I’m also looking for sponsors and people to help out with graphics and such. If interested, contact me.)
