My 10 pennies worth. I am a white male and mainly gay, I say mainly because there is still a little spark of the hetorsecual about me occasionally; but dismiss that, I do. I date Asian guys, and I only date Asian guys. Call me a racist if you like but frankly I find them attractive.

Yes some of them are very smooth, but some of them are not. Some of them are a little girly like, but by no means all.

Submissive. I have never dated a submissive Asian in my life. In fact every Asian I have ever been with has been very dominant; and I would not have it any other way.

The point about stereotypes is that they are almost always wrong. They are general views of entire populations.

I don't date Asian guys because they are Asian, I date them because i like their culture, i like their intelligence, i like their education and yes, i like the way they look...

Very interesting stuff!
Even though most gay Asians and gay whites say that dating exclusively with one another is their personal choice and preference (which I find it just a cover up BS=escape from reality), there is always some kind of inner hole in their hearts which must messed them up when they were kid or teenager. So, it is not their fault or anything, it's just unfortunate. In general, the issues range from self-hatred to father figure. But no one will ever know or can figure out what exactly their inner-issues are but themselves. The thing is that, though, most people are unaware of their that inner issues because they are "sleeping".
Once you get to awakened your shell by something or someone, you will feel sexually enlightened; then, perhaps, you will start seeing people beyond their races (aka: as human being). Only then and there, you will feel true love. As long as you or your LTR are based on or attached to race, you will always empty deep down. That's one of the main reason why having true love is rare among gays.
Cheers

I am an ethnologist by training, an immigration lawyer by profession and a human rights activist by avocation. I do not like stereotypes, but . .

Sociologists believe that mental categorizing (or labelling) is necessary and inescapable and
stereotypes may be automatic, implict or subconscious.

In the Gay community we have food groups. If one is attracted exclusively or primarily to White ethnics, one is a "potato queen"; to Jews, one is a "bagel queen"; to Blacks, one is a "chocolate queen"; to Latinos, one is a taco queen; to Asians, one is a "rice queen."

While there is no term for Whites attracted to Whites, Jews attracted to Jews, Blacks attracted to Blacks or Latinos attracted to Latinos, there is a term for Asians attracted to Asians:
"sticky rice."

Westerners would not know what is sticky rice had Easterners not taught them about this delicacy.
And it is not Westerners, but Easterners who coined the term.

So one could say that Asians have nobody to blame but themselves and in more ways than one.

Many Gay men do not wish to date within their own
group, because they feel it would be like dating themselves. This could be equally true for every racial or ethnic group, but it happens not to be.

Historically, Gaysians have felt this way to a
greater extent than other ethnic groups who have been just as much the victims of discrimination.

Where Asians are scarce and Occidentals plentiful such as in most Western societies, Asians become a precious commodity.

Where Occidentals are scarce and Asians plentiful as in most Asian societies, Occidentals are a precious commodity.

Given the common Asian claim that outsiders think that all Asians look alike, Occidentals are in no position to make the fine negative distinctions which Asians freqently make amongst themselves

Ask the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans what they think of one another. Ask the Vietnamese, Thais and Cambodians what they think of one another. Ask the Lao and the Hmong what they think?

Studies show all outgroups tend to look alike to ingroups. What % of Asians could distinguish a Kenyan from a Nigerian from Ugandan? A Guatemalan from a Nicaraguan from a Paraguayan? A Scot from a Cornish from a Welsh? Not many I venture.

Studies show that not only anthropolgists but Asians cannot even distinguish themselves from one from another. Much as Gaydar is a lot worse than homosexual people think, so is X-Asian.

Some theorize that one reason for stereotypes is the lack of personal, concrete familiarity that individuals have with persons in other racial or ethnic groups and that this lack of familiarity encourages the lumping together of unknown individuals.

One reason people stereotype is that it is too difficult to take in all of the complexities of other people as individuals. Even though it is inexact, it is an efficient way to mentally organize large blocks of information.

Categorization is essential for humans, because
it enables us to simplify, predict and organize our world. Assigning general characteristics to members of a group saves time and satisfies the need to predict the world in a general sense.

Stereotypes can have negative or positive impact on individuals. Research on psychological effects of stereotyping has shown competence is highly responsive to situations and interactions.

In one study, mathematically competent White males were asked to take a difficult test. One group was told this was being done to determine why Asians were scoring better and performed significantly worse than the other group.

Possible prejudicial effects of stereotypes are:

In literature and art, storytellers throughout history have drawn from stereotypical characters and situations in order to connect with the audience with new tales immediately.

Some critics believed that political correctness since the 1960's has led to another stereotypical image where people are often depicted too positively.

Many "people of color" (Blacks who think that Latinos steal their jobs, Latinos who look at Asians as foreigners and Asians who think that Blacks are stupid) are united in their belief that Whites have cornered the market on racism and there are no negative stereotypes of Whites.

There are many negative terms for White people especially in non-Western cultures.

In the 1860's, he Irish Catholic' was one viewed as an "other" or a different race in construction of the English nationalist myth and vice versa.

So much for the common Asian perception that it is only they who have been characterized as foreigners.

There have been cartoons depicting physiognomies of human ethnic groups to animals. Thus Irishmen resembled dogs, Yankees were like bears, Germans like lions, blacks like elephants and Englishmen like bulls. There are also anti-Italian as well as anti-Polish stereotypes.

Jews have been stereotyped throughout centuries and made scapegoats for a multitude of societal problems. Jews are still stereotyped as greedy, nit-picky, misers. Early films stereotyped Jews as "scheming merchants" counting money.

Trying to live up to sexual stereotypes may lead to frustration and have damaging effects. They have the ability to create an idea that some are better than others based on their sexual abilities and sexual organs.

People with negative views of gay, lesbian, and transgender people often use stereotypes and that includes LGBT people as in this case.

There is something called "joining the argument" which has to do with one's arguing on the questionable ground of another.

When another characterizes Asians as effeminate bottoms with small penises, Asians commonly argue the point which convinces nobody. All it does is
reinforce the idea that there is something wrong with being effeminate bottom with a small penis.

There are anthropological studies which show that much as comparisons of racial and ethnic groups show differences in average height they show differences in average penis sizes.

Who cares? The people who buy into significance of size. The fact is that not unlike many other Gay men of various ethnicities, Asians prize penis size. I.e. They are "size queens."

And given the average Asian penis size is smaller than that of other ethnic groups, it just may be there are proportionately more Asian size queens.

It is a biological fact that Asian men have less testosterone than men of other ethnic groups. It is for this very reason that Asian men tend to bald later, have smoother skin and look younger than their age peers in other ethnic groups.

Men tend to be more polygamous than women. Thus it stands to reason that there are more bottoms than tops throughout the Gay male world.

Not unlike Straight men, many -- not all -- Gay tops are attracted to youthful looking men of smaller stature with less body hair than they.

And nobody fits the bill better than Asians who indeed have those characteristics to a greater extent than men of other ethnic groups.

Meanwhile many Gaysian men complain that nobody is attracted to them. If one is not attracted, one is a racist. If one is attracted, one is a fetishist. It is simply a no win situation.

There is a difference between masculinity and virility. As China, Japan and Thailand show, Asians have no problem reproducing.

It is also worth noting that many Asian women and Straight as well as Gay men perceive Asian men as being more effeminate than men of other ethnic groups and not only in the Western world.

Dennis Chase: "Stereotypes exist and there is some truth to all stereotypes." Really? Say that to a Cho Seung Hui reincarnation. Only when someone like Cho rises up again will people not be so racist towards Asians- watch that mouth people & proceed at your own risk. Armed revolution is the only way. Blood needs to be spilled!

being ASIAN (and loving it), i will have to admit that i went through this process of only liking 'white' guys. but that was because i did not know how to appreciate and accept myself. but hey, i went through the process and im free of that "white guys only" theme. i've never dated a white guy, but it wouldn't matter to me either way. i get hit on by 'white guys' and i can say that really dont care because they don't want to get to know me. I LOVE ASIAN men. im not the stereotypical fem type. i have my moments, but im just who i am...and i can't help it.

i really dnt care about big penises:...if u have a 10in penis...good for u! i dnt want that crap near me. i want pleasure, not pain. i want to navigate my man's penis pleasurably. asian penises are small: so what. there are some sense of truth to that, but ive been with "bigger than normal" asian guys. asian guys are sumbmissve and docile: kiss my ass. say it to my face. i might just have to handle u...talk the talk, but u better be able to walk the walk. asian guys r bottoms: im not a top nor a bottom, but for sure, i dont want no penis up me period! all asian guys like white guys: kiss my f'ass! im a good looking asain guy and i want a good looking guy period. im not gonna have sex with any white guy just because he's white. i rather wank off. besides, i find asian, black, latino, etc guys just as attractive. but at the moment, im into asian guys.
anywho, the point is: ASIAN men are HOTTTTTT...delicious, mmm. i will leave it here.

God, the hatred and self-hatred in this video is just INCREDIBLE!

Guys that won't go out Asians -- and Asians that won't go out with OTHER Asians! What the fuck is up with that?!

And, as a Black gay guy, don't even get me started on this whole thing in profiles that state: "No Blacks and Asians".

The Asian guy -- who wasn't EVEN attractive -- saying going out with another Asian guy would be like "dating your brother", what the fuck does THAT mean?!

If you're living in Asia, what other kinds of guys is one more likely to be going out with and in relationships with?

The hatred and self-hatred is not only depressing to hear, but just plain infuriating!

Talk about people needng to be in therapy!

black guy telling

1 asian guys are not smoother trust me black guys are way smoother and thats because of pigment

2 the small penises thing is not even true there has been several studies that has proven it's not true the only thing that has been proven is that gay men have bigger penises then straight men

and 3 westerners are he ones who created these stereotypes and usually the ones
who apply them in social situations

asian guys are treated like the feminin group yet i always hear from white guys in asia bitchin and yappin about how cold and distant asian men are crying why me

I am a GAM living in Vancouver Canada and it frustrates me THAT 1) gay asian men interviewed will not date other gay asian men. i thought SF is different from Vancouver but some things never change. 2) the non-asian interviewed view us as "passive" because of our smooth skin, boyish face and "small frame."
THE TRUTH of the matter is that's how they want to Perceive US and i can't change that. the reality is my many non-asian gay men i met can't handle anyone who is assertive, direct and will not play mind games with them. i always spoke up when needed to and they were not used to that. No I was not bitchy nor arguementative and never had to raise my voice to make a point. but make a point I DID whether through logic, reason and the whole works. So if these non- asians interviewed don't like us cause we're "submissive", they don't like it when we speak up and call them on certain things they are hypocritical.
HELL YEAH!! we have the hill to climb. It's ironic that I get more LOVE from my straight friends than my gay friends. At least my straight friends don't see me as submissive. At least they respect me and they try to understand me.
Gay men still need to learn how to respect other people, listening to what other people have to say, not be so clique-ish and be open minded and relatable. I realize as a whole, we weren't given that luxury growing up. We still have to learn how to love ourselves. but labelling ,trying to figure out and being quick to dismiss people is not the way to go. Now i'll think i'll call up some gay for pay stud to take of my personal BIZNESS!! LOL!

LOL!
Only Asians who grew up in the USA are like this... ALL Asian people are VERY CLANISH people, meaning they are very strict with mixing and having cultures other than their own. Even Asians among Asians rarely mingle if their cultures are not the same. LOL intermarriage in ASIA itself is very RARE! About Asian gay guys dating only Caucasian thats sort of like funny because that only happens in the USA! Try going to Japan for example, and see that it is VERY VERY VERY VERY Rare to find an interracial couple there, more so in the conservative countries of China and Korea. And it is not POLITICALLY CORRECT to say ASIAN GAY MEN! It should be AMERICAN-ASIAN GAY MEN!
