RSS Feeds
In the “things that will not interest 90% of the people reading this” category: I have a RSS feed.
RSS, for those of you that don’t know, is a way to syndicate website content to other places, such as another website or a news aggregator. If you know of a lot of websites that offer RSS feeds, you could collect headlines from all of your sources and include them into your website. Lately, the newest thing is for weblogs to offer RSS feeds — kind of like a portal, but replace important information like news, weather and sports information with content like what you ate for lunch, or the C- you got on your math test, or other filler content that no one really cares about.
Like this post, for example.
No matter. You can find examples of this feed working its syndicated magic at ReadingEd and MERGE. It may all be for naught, though — this weblog will most likely go on hiatus slow down for a little while. I’ve been pretty busy for the past couple of days with work. Also, I’ve learned that I’m much less witty if I’m not single.
