It seriously does not help that Cancun Taqueria in the Mission – one of the best burrito places in the Bay Area – is less than a block from my house.

If I've had a fairly terrible day, I have been known for getting a super carnitas burrito and then bring it to my neighbor Laurie's, slowly rocking back and forth while I talk about how terrible my day was.

We call them "stressitos." Stressitos are delicious with extra avacado and sour cream, I'm just saying.

Order it without rice — scoop out of the tortilla, and it’s diet food! (And god damn do I miss living next to Dolores park … that looks fucking amazing.)

  2. Holy Christ, that looks good.

  3. Brandon says:

Wow, that looks fantastic. I’d probably eat that every other day if I had it near my place.

I’ve long wished that we lived closer to you–or you to us–but, if we all lived in close proximity to a place that makes that, we’d just encourage each other to be there constantly. Everyone’s diet would suffer! :)

  10. Jess says:

P.S.–I also can’t help but think if you and I were a couple, we’d substitute post-sex cigarettes with those things! But, you know, we’d be happy!

wow. that looks FANTASTIC tho completely slathered with saliva?

  12. That looks way too good! Sometimes I am glad that I do not live on either coasts because I would be at a place like this every night for dinner…I guess living in the midwest has its advantages.

I live within four blocks of Taqueria Can-cun. We should stressito sometime.

ohhhh. i was lucky enough to be taken there by a friend who also lives just up the hill, when visiting SF last year. we had to go at 10 am as all our other eating blocks were filled… little did i know my single carne asada burrito would render any eating before 7 pm irrelevant, i was so full. but ohhhhh, so good.

I’ve been staring at that photo for over ten minutes. Maybe I should go get lunch.
