I needed an employment success story today. Thanks, and break a leg, Ernie!

You're no imposter.

Loved this from beginning to end. The humor, the fun, yet the unbelievably real emotions here. 🧡

Yay! Congrats! Thanks again for posting on your countdown. I am looking for a job now and have been for months, and it is good to know that there can be a happy ending (at least for the moment) after a search.

Can’t you say the past “year” was a sabbatical to reconnect with family?

This new year might end up a shit show

But today is all about receiving -

CONGRATULATIONS !

Congrats, Ernie! You are ready for this and you aren't an imposter.

On the other hand, I am now a bit curious if the poluce even respnded to your Mom's call about the neighbors and the tree.

Congratulations! I hope this is a very rewarding job. If only I knew about architecting a component hierarchy! ;-)

BTW, your mom, always good for interesting observations, reminded me of Russell Baker, a very talented long-time New York Times columnist. I remember reading in his autobiography that when he became White House correspondent, his mom said if he worked hard at this White House job he could make something of himself.

Congrats Ernie! I'm very happy for you. Hopefully this company gets funded and you end up rich (even temporarily). But at the very least, you got that monkey off your back.
